NSPCC Main School and Pre-Prep Assembly and workshops. Specially trained staff from the NSPCC will be hosting interactive assemblies and workshops for our children in different year groups. With the help of their mascot, Buddy, we'll cover topics like bullying and abuse, but without using any scary words or adult language.
Pupils will learn about the different types of abuse, in a child-friendly and age appropriate way, so they can get help if or when they need it. And they learn about Childline, and how it can support them.
This is followed by a classroom workshop for Main School children. Together, we explore the topics in more detail using engaging exercises to look at different situations and decide what's OK and what's not OK. Teachers are present throughout so everyone's familiar with the topics covered.

At Sompting Abbotts, we adopt a school-wide ethos that embodies our commitment to the environment. Its principles – 'Embrace Nature; Embrace Learning; Embrace Childhood' – are threaded through our teaching, influencing every child's journey from Pre-Prep to Upper Prep. Our 30-acre grounds and woodland in the South Downs National Park are at its roots.
